SMARTSecure^TM system: An industry ﬁrst, MESA is the only infant car seat with a unique technology utilizing a tightness indicator and self-retracting LATCH connectors for fast, accurate and easy installation. An indicator window changes from red to green for visual conﬁrmation the base has been installed correctly every time.

Tightness indicator: It’s as easy as red to green. When the tightness indicator turns green, it provides conﬁrmation that the seat is installed correctly whether using LATCH or belt.
Auto-retracting LATCH: Unlike traditional LATCH connectors, MESA’s unique retracting LATCH system tightens effortlessly, minimizing installation error.

Advanced Side Impact Protection: MESA’s adjustable headrest is reinforced with EPP foam providing added protection for your child. The integrated design keeps an infant’s head stationary during a side impact collision.
Adjustable headrest: Robust, adjustable headrest that moves as baby grows. EPP foam-constructed wings distributes crash forces, minimizing head trauma and whiplash.
Optimized for preemies 4 lbs+

Low harness position setting: MESA’s adjustable harness and 2 crotch strap settings allow it to securely fit infants as small as 4 pounds. As your baby grows, MESA adjusts – accommodating babies as large as 35 pounds.
Included infant insert: MESA’s infant insert is ideal when your baby is between 4 and 8 pounds. The insert’s built-in wedge creates a flatter and safer riding position for preemies and small newborns.

European-style belt routing path: When you’re traveling in taxis, rental cars or other people’s cars, MESA’s European-style belt routing path, combined with a lap belt installation, makes installing the carrier without a base safe and secure. When used properly, the European-style belt routing path prevents the carrier from moving off the vehicle seat and rotating.

No Chemicals: The Henry and Jordan merino wool fabric is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified. OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified provides parents with confidence that the fabric has been tested for harmful substances.
Naturally flame-resistant: Merino wool is finer and suppler than regular wool, and its natural flame resistance makes it a powerhouse. When exposed to flame, it resists catching fire, where artificial fibers may melt or burn.
So warm yet so cool: Its wicking properties help keep babies cool on hot days and warm on cool days.

Performance travel system: Directly attaches to UPPAbaby VISTA or CRUZ stroller without the need for adapters to create a convenient performance travel system.

Buckle storage pockets: Small pockets sewn into the side of the seat fabric allow you to tuck the harness buckles into the seat and out of the way for easy loading and unloading of your child. They also keep the buckles cool on hot days.
